About The Position

Nucor Warehouse Systems is seeking a Design Intern to support its design team in reviewing drawing standards, install sets, permit sets, and fabrication drawings. The intern will work with a variety of designers and detailers to understand and review client drawings. This position offers an entry-level designer hands-on experience drafting different types of client drawings and learning how to read them. The role is onsite in Monroe, Georgia, for the duration of the internship. Safety is a top priority, and the intern is expected to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a four-year college or university, with an interest in design, CAD drafting, or a relevant discipline.
Interest in design-based software such as AutoCAD and Inventor.
Maintain high grades in studies and be interested in learning through hands-on work experience in a consulting engineering environment.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
Must work onsite in Monroe, Georgia, for the internship duration.
Must successfully meet the company's pre-employment drug screening requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience using AutoCAD and Inventor design software.
Ability to understand fabrication, construction, or architectural drawings.
