About The Position

Nucor Warehouse Systems is seeking a Design Intern to support its design team. The intern will help review drawing standards, install sets, permit sets, and fabrication drawings, and will work with designers and detailers to understand and review client drawings. The position offers an entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience drafting a variety of client drawings and learning how to read them in a consulting engineering environment. The role is onsite in Monroe, Georgia, for the duration of the internship. Safety is a priority, and the intern must uphold company safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a four-year college or university, with an interest in design, CAD drafting, or a relevant discipline.
Interest in design-based software such as AutoCAD and Inventor.
Maintain high grades in studies and have an interest in hands-on work experience in a consulting engineering environment.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
Able to work onsite in Monroe, Georgia, for the internship duration.
Able to successfully meet the company's pre-employment drug screening requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience using AutoCAD and Inventor design software.
Ability to understand fabrication, construction, or architectural drawings.

Responsibilities
