About The Position

The MedServ Group is seeking a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner to provide care to residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities, with a focus on delivering quality healthcare to the elderly population. The role involves one visit monthly. The typical schedule is 9 AM–5 PM, with 7–8 hours spent visiting patients and completing paperwork. Each visit involves approximately 20–25 patients. Compensation is $35–$40 per patient or $60–$65 per hour. The MedServ Group covers medical malpractice insurance.

Requirements

• CNP/Certified Nurse Practitioner license.
• Graduate of a state-registered Nurse Practitioner program or certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a national association.
• Dermatology experience in a clinic, hospital, or nursing home.
• Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), or Nurse Practitioner (N.P.) specializing in Dermatology from an approved university.
• Experience using diagnostic techniques to identify diseases and implement appropriate treatments.
• Experience managing a diverse staff and client base.
• Ability to communicate important health information effectively and compassionately.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with elderly patients.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and observe patients.
• Record patients’ medical histories and symptoms.
• Create patient care plans and contribute to existing care plans.
• Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests.
• Monitor and operate medical equipment as needed.
• Diagnose health issues and share findings with the physician on call.
• Administer medications and other treatments.
