About The Position
The MedServ Group is seeking a part-time Dermatology Nurse Practitioner to provide care to residents in skilled nursing facilities. The role involves one visit per month and focuses on delivering high-quality, compassionate healthcare to elderly patients. Visits typically involve 20–25 patients and require 7–8 hours for patient care and paperwork. The schedule is typically 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Compensation is $35.00–$40.00 per patient or $60.00–$65.00 per hour. The MedServ Group covers medical malpractice insurance.
Requirements
- Hold a CNP/Certified Nurse Practitioner license.
- Graduate from a state-registered Nurse Practitioner program or be certified as a Nurse Practitioner by a national association.
- Have dermatology experience in a clinic, hospital, or nursing home.
- Hold a D.O., M.D., or N.P. qualification specializing in dermatology from an approved university.
- Have experience using diagnostic techniques to identify diseases and implement appropriate treatments.
- Have experience managing a diverse staff and client base.
- Communicate important health information effectively and compassionately.
- Have good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with elderly patients.
- Have Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Have a DEA registration.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations and observe patients.
- Record patients’ medical histories and symptoms.
- Create patient care plans and contribute to existing care plans.
- Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests.
- Monitor and operate medical equipment as needed.
- Diagnose health issues and share findings with the physician on call.
- Administer medicine and other treatments.
