About The Position

The MedServ Group is seeking a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner to provide care to residents in skilled nursing facilities. The role focuses on delivering high-quality healthcare to elderly patients and calls for a confident, compassionate clinician committed to quality care. This is a part-time position involving one visit monthly. Each visit typically includes 20–25 patients and requires 7–8 hours for patient visits and paperwork. The schedule is typically 9 AM–5 PM. Compensation is $35–$40 per patient or $60–$65 per hour. The MedServ Group covers medical malpractice insurance.

Requirements

• Hold a CNP/Certified Nurse Practitioner license.
• Graduate from a state-registered Nurse Practitioner program or be certified as a Nurse Practitioner by a national association.
• Have dermatology experience in a clinic, hospital, or nursing home.
• Have the stated qualifying medical or dermatology specialization: D.O., M.D., or N.P. specializing in Dermatology from an approved university.
• Have experience using diagnostic techniques to identify diseases and implement appropriate treatments.
• Have experience managing a diverse staff and client base.
• Communicate important health information effectively and compassionately.
• Have good interpersonal and communication skills when working with elderly patients.
• Hold Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Have a DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and observe patients.
• Record patients’ medical histories and symptoms.
• Create patient care plans and contribute to existing plans.
• Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests.
• Monitor and operate medical equipment as needed.
• Diagnose health issues and share findings with the physician on call.
• Administer medicines and other treatments.
