About The Position
The MedServ Group is seeking a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner to provide care to residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities. The role focuses on delivering high-quality healthcare to elderly patients and calls for a confident, compassionate clinician committed to quality care. The position involves one visit monthly. A typical visit includes 7–8 hours of patient visits plus paperwork and usually runs from 9 AM to 5 PM, with approximately 20–25 patients per visit. Compensation is $35–$40 per patient or $60–$65 per hour. The MedServ Group covers medical malpractice insurance.
Requirements
- CNP/Certified Nurse Practitioner license.
- Graduate of a state-registered Nurse Practitioner program or certified as a Nurse Practitioner by a national association.
- Dermatology experience in a clinic, hospital, or nursing home.
- A Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), or Nurse Practitioner (N.P.) specializing in Dermatology from an approved university.
- Experience using diagnostic techniques to identify diseases and implement appropriate treatments.
- Experience managing a diverse staff and client base.
- Ability to communicate important health information effectively and compassionately.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well with elderly patients.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- DEA required.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical exams and observe patients.
- Record patients’ medical histories and symptoms.
- Create patient care plans and contribute to existing care plans.
- Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests.
- Monitor and operate medical equipment as needed.
- Diagnose health issues and share findings with the physician on call.
- Administer medicine and other treatments.
