This role is responsible for providing foundational support within the Deposit Operations Department through daily report review, routine account maintenance and resolution of standard exception items. The specialist is required to build, retain and apply knowledge of departmental functions, developing the skills necessary to progressively support and perform additional deposit operations responsibilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of related banking or financial institution experience.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to identify, research and resolve routine operational issues.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in standard computer application and banking systems.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
Willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Review daily operational reports and resolve standard exception items (e.g., Unposted Items, Closed and Dormant account reports).
Perform routine account maintenance including charge-offs and other account status updates.
Troubleshoot basic account and online banking requests (e.g., ACH and Debit Card inquiry and Online Banking Support).
Fulfill customer account and research requests.
Provide back-up support for deposit operations functions as needed.
Maintain and develop working knowledge of all deposit operations functions through cross-training.
Actively represent the Bank to customers and the general public in ways that promote the integrity, validity, and mission of the Bank by participating in community organizations, events, and activities.
Maintain a commitment to continuing education in the banking field through self-study and both in-house and outside training opportunities in all applicable banking policies, procedures, and regulations.
Maintain knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act regulations and all other regulatory, security, and Bank policies and procedures.
