About The Position

TEKsystems is seeking a motivated and technically versatile Lab Equipment Deployment Technician to support technology initiatives in a hospital environment. The technician will assist with hands-on deployment activities, device installations, inventory management, hardware setup, and lab implementation across the campus. This entry-level opportunity offers experience with enterprise healthcare IT and high-visibility infrastructure and technology projects. The position is a contract role based onsite in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented processes.
• Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable and adaptable, comfortable handling varied tasks.
• Comfort with hands-on technical work and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting healthcare environments, hospitals, or large enterprise organizations.
• Experience with device deployment projects, hardware refreshes, or technology implementations.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and asset management tools.

Responsibilities

• Unbox, stage, and deploy lab equipment.
• Track and maintain inventory of hardware and peripherals.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate issues as needed.
• Document completed work and maintain asset records.
• Work with hospital staff and project teams to support successful project execution.
