About The Position

TEKsystems is seeking two reliable Telecommunications Deployment Technicians for a large-scale enterprise phone system rollout at a healthcare facility in Hackensack, New Jersey. The project involves deploying approximately 6,000 Cisco phone devices and supporting engineering staff throughout installation. Engineers can help train technicians. This hands-on role is suited to people with cabling, telecommunications, or IT support experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The position is onsite five days per week, Monday through Friday, and is a contract role.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite daily.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Comfort performing physical work, including moving equipment and pulling cable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively alongside engineers and technical staff.

Nice To Haves

• Cisco phone deployment experience.
• Experience in Unified Communications (UC) environments.
• Experience with telecommunications infrastructure projects.
• Healthcare or large enterprise environment experience.
• Telecommunications and telephony support experience.
• Cabling and cable management experience.
• Network port verification and troubleshooting experience.
• Understanding of telecommunications systems.
• Experience in enterprise IT or infrastructure environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and deployment of Cisco phone devices.
• Pull, route, and organize network and telecommunications cabling.
• Label cables, ports, and equipment accurately.
• Verify that network ports are active and functioning properly.
• Connect, configure, and physically install devices.
• Support engineering teams with deployment activities and troubleshooting.
• Maintain organized documentation and work areas.
• Follow site procedures and safety guidelines.
