About The Position

As a Department Manager at Von Maur, you represent the company and help drive retail growth by building and maintaining relationships, optimizing merchandising, and developing associates to deliver excellent customer experiences. The role includes leading and coaching associates, growing department business, performing sales associate duties, monitoring performance, and addressing customer and department needs. The manager must be available to work a rotation of day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, train, coach, and lead associates by example to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Develop relationships to grow department business.
• Perform sales associate duties and meet individual sales and account goals.
• Assess associate performance to improve customer service, increase sales, and meet department goals.
• Provide associates with feedback on service, selling, and account statistics.
• Develop and implement solutions to customer problems and department needs.
• Work a rotation of day, evening, and weekend shifts.
