About The Position

The Department Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective operations of the assigned department. Responsibilities include scanning outs, managing inventory, recovering merchandise, coordinating price changes, implementing playbook features and planogram sets, maintaining cleanliness, and following the indoor merchandising guide. The role also provides customer service, supports front-end operations as needed, uses general office and retail equipment, and participates in cross-training and learning initiatives. No supervisory responsibilities are assigned.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of retail experience with knowledge of the specific department.

• Ability to navigate and access all facilities.

Responsibilities

• Follow the indoor merchandising guide and maintain consistent department and signing standards and appealing displays.
• Monitor and maintain inventory through regular stock counts, scanning outs, reconciling discrepancies, and replenishing stock from the stockroom or top stock.
• Oversee department recovery to maintain a neat, organized, and visually appealing appearance.
• Coordinate and execute price changes, including updating pricing labels and signage with relevant teams.
• Implement playbook features and planogram sets according to company guidelines and standards.
• Maintain department cleanliness and orderliness and enforce sanitation and safety protocols.
• Provide customer service by assisting with inquiries, locating products, and addressing concerns.
• Support front-end operations by processing transactions or loadouts as required.
• Use general office equipment, including a telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, and computer.
• Operate handheld devices, forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and other retail equipment.
• Participate in cross-training for flexibility across departments and responsibilities.
• Participate in learning initiatives such as training programs, workshops, and webinars.
• Provide friendly, proactive, and professional support to internal and external contacts, responding to inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
