About The Position

This role involves assisting with the unloading of incoming trucks and putting away merchandise as directed by management. The Department Head is responsible for executing daily operational goals and priorities set by the store manager, maintaining an efficient pace. Key duties include removing promotional bin tags and price tags, restocking merchandise displays, monitoring end caps and side wings, and handling special orders for non-stock items. A core aspect of the role is providing excellent customer service, ensuring customers are never told 'no' without consulting a manager, and actively discouraging shoplifting through positive customer interaction and adherence to Elder's policy. The position also requires responding to radio requests and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience.
Technically proficient in computer systems including related software.
Gather and analyze data and maintain accurate records.
Take initiative, assume responsibility, and execute thoroughly.
Interact with staff at all levels of the organization.
Possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company’s insurance carrier’s standards.

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
