Requirements

  • Graduation from an approved school of dentistry. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
  • Possess a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform periodontal exams, review medical histories, and diagnose oral diseases
  • Provide restorative and preventive dental care while maintaining infection control standards
  • Direct and support dental assistants and hygienists in daily work tasks
  • Assess schedules, records, requests, and lab documentation to ensure smooth operations
  • Evaluate office procedures and implement methods to enhance service standards
  • Monitor supplies, equipment, and security controls within the dental unit
