Requirements
- Graduation from an approved school of dentistry. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
- Possess a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform periodontal exams, review medical histories, and diagnose oral diseases
- Provide restorative and preventive dental care while maintaining infection control standards
- Direct and support dental assistants and hygienists in daily work tasks
- Assess schedules, records, requests, and lab documentation to ensure smooth operations
- Evaluate office procedures and implement methods to enhance service standards
- Monitor supplies, equipment, and security controls within the dental unit
