Requirements

  • Graduation from an approved school of dentistry. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
  • Possess a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.

Responsibilities

  • Provide examinations, diagnose oral conditions, and deliver all basic dental care
  • Supervise daily tasks of dental staff and ensure proper care standards are followed
  • Consult with and refer patients to physicians, oral surgeons, and other specialists as needed
  • Follow security procedures and maintain proper tool control and safety protocols within the dental office
  • Assist specialists on-site and work closely with auxiliary staff to support patient care
