You will support inmate health through consistent and compassionate clinical service.

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved school of dentistry.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
• Possess a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Nice To Haves

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine dental exams and treatments for the inmate population
• Evaluate dental needs and determine appropriate care plans
• Work closely with auxiliary staff to ensure smooth clinical operations
• Maintain accurate and timely dental records for each patient
• Educate patients on oral health practices and preventive care
• Outline and implement effective treatment strategies
