About The Position

The Dental Practice Receptionist coordinates dental appointments with doctor schedules, coordinates insurance benefits, works with other health professionals, and helps patients schedule appointments. The role requires exceptional interpersonal skills and a high level of professionalism. The practice specializes in dentistry and uses state-of-the-art technology, specialized training, and a fun, healthy approach to building lifetime healthy smiles. This is a Saturday position in Sacramento. Practice hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The practice offers in-office training and opportunities for self-development, progression, and advancement.

Requirements

Must speak Mandarin fluently.
Available to work Saturdays during practice hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word.
General knowledge of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Effective verbal communication skills with patients, parents, doctors, and staff, in person and by telephone.
Ability to work on multiple projects at once.
Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team setting.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of dental procedures.

Responsibilities

Use a multi-line phone to make, answer, and direct calls.
Coordinate appointments to maximize the daily production goal.
Monitor the schedule throughout the day to ensure it runs smoothly.
Work closely with the dentist and dental staff to schedule treatment in a timely manner according to urgency.
Work with the dentist to determine options for completing or providing treatment.
Receive and enter payments to appropriate accounts.
Coordinate insurance benefits and work with other health professionals.
