Dental Hygienist (Welcoming Bonus)
About The Position
Dental365 is hiring a Dental Hygienist for Soundview Dental Associates in Shoreham and Dental365 in Medford, New York. The role offers a $5,000 welcoming bonus for the right candidate. Hygienists provide attentive, high-quality patient care in modern dental practice environments, with one-hour appointments for new patients and recalls. The organization supports professional growth through its Hygiene Executive Committee and emphasizes patient health over sales, with no pressure from production quotas. The schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. in Shoreham; every other Wednesday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. in Medford; Thursday and Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. in Shoreham; and two Saturdays per month, 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. in Shoreham. The New York salary range is $55–$60 per hour. Benefits are available for full-time employment of 30 or more hours weekly, with some benefits also available to part-time employees. Requirements
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist license.
- Current CPR (BLS) certification.
- Exceptional working knowledge of comprehensive dentistry, including dental hygiene procedures, patient screening, and meticulous documentation.
- Any additional certification or license required by the state to perform specified duties.
Responsibilities
- Provide concierge-level patient care with exceptional chairside manner and build trust with patients.
- Identify signs of periodontal disease or potential oral cancers to support patients’ oral health.
- Document and review patient medical histories and chief complaints.
- Take X-rays and intraoral images to support treatment planning and document progress or changes.
- Perform oral hygiene procedures according to treatment plans prescribed by the attending dentist.
- Handle emergency measures in response to sudden adverse developments during patient treatment.
- Provide instructions for at-home care and oral health maintenance.
