About The Position

Affordable Dentures & Implants is hiring a part-time Dental Front Desk Assistant for 2–3 days per week. This role is ideal for individuals seeking meaningful work without a five-day commitment, such as those who are semi-retired, balancing family, or working a second job. The Dental Front Desk Assistant will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for creating an exceptional patient experience and supporting a team dedicated to transforming lives through high-quality tooth replacement solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, and experience working in a dental office.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of dental front office or dental receptionist experience required.
  • Previous experience scheduling patients in a dental practice.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, treatment planning, and patient scheduling.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Comfortable working independently and picking up where the team left off between scheduled days.
  • Positive attitude with a team-first mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Dentrix preferred.
  • CareCredit experience preferred.
  • Experience managing the full dental insurance process preferred — verification, benefit review, claim submission, pre-authorizations, payment posting, claim follow-up, and patient financial communication.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service and keep the front office running smoothly on scheduled days.
  • Welcome patients with professionalism and compassion, creating an exceptional first impression.
  • Check patients in and out while maintaining efficient patient flow.
  • Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments.
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries on treatment, scheduling, pricing, financing, and office policies.
  • Verify and maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix.
  • Process payments, collect balances, and reconcile daily transactions.
  • Discuss financing options, including CareCredit, when appropriate.
  • Assist patients with insurance documentation and claim information.
  • Follow up with prospective patients and encourage scheduling.
  • Order and maintain office supplies and administrative materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the practice.
