About The Position

Risas Dental and Braces is seeking a friendly, professional bilingual Dental Assistant to provide quality and affordable dental care. Dental Assistants work hands-on with doctors to care for patients and help maintain efficient patient flow. They educate patients about dental treatment and procedures and may receive cross-training in several dental specialties. Requirements

Bilingual in Spanish and English.
High school diploma or GED.
X-ray certification or ability to obtain it within three months of hire.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Superior knowledge of dental clinical operations and terminology.
Ability to anticipate the needs of doctors and patients.
Warm, friendly, outgoing personality and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work within a team environment and support teammates as needed.

Nice To Haves

Coronal polish certification.
One to two years of experience in the dental field.

Responsibilities

Assist doctors with dental procedures and treatment.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment and prepare them for patient treatment.
Educate patients on general oral health care as directed by the doctor.
Present treatment to patients based on doctor recommendations.
Complete patient X-rays and intra-oral pictures efficiently and in a timely manner.
Record patient charting and doctors’ notes in the digital patient chart as directed.
Maintain inventory and supplies.
Maintain compliance with state, federal, and other regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA, and Risas policies and practices.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
