About The Position

Risas Dental and Braces is seeking a friendly, professional bilingual Dental Assistant to provide quality, affordable dental care to patients. Dental Assistants work hands-on with doctors to provide exceptional patient care and maintain efficient patient flow. They educate patients about dental treatment and procedures and may cross-train in several dental specialties. Requirements

Bilingual Spanish and English proficiency is required.
High school diploma or GED is required.
X-ray certification, or ability to obtain it within three months of hire.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Superior knowledge of dental clinical operations and terminology.
Ability to anticipate the needs of doctors and patients.
Warm, friendly, and outgoing personality, with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and support teammates as needed.

Nice To Haves

Coronal polish certification preferred.
One to two years of experience in the dental field preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist doctors with dental procedures and treatment.
Sterilize, disinfect, and prepare instruments and equipment for patient treatment.
Educate patients on general oral health care as directed by the doctor.
Present treatment to patients based on doctor recommendations.
Complete X-rays and intra-oral pictures efficiently and in a timely manner.
Record patient charting and doctors’ notes in the digital patient chart as directed.
Maintain inventory and supplies.
Comply with state, federal, and other regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA, as well as Risas policies and practices.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
