About The Position

Kids Dental Place & Orthodontics in Huntington Park, California, is seeking a bilingual Spanish-speaking Dental Assistant to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients, with a focus on underserved children. The role includes patient recordkeeping, taking dental radiographs, educating patients and parents about oral health, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining a clean and welcoming practice. The position pays $18.78–$26 per hour and offers benefits and monthly bonus opportunities. The employee may also be asked to perform other duties that support the business and its mission.

Requirements

Radiology education and training that meet state requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly, outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents.
Ability to multitask and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner.
Current BLS CPR certification.
Bilingual Spanish ability, as indicated by the role title.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW).
Previous experience working in a dental office.

Responsibilities

Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records.
Obtain quality dental radiographs, including periapicals, bitewings, and panoramic images, as requested by the dentist.
Write accurate and consistent notes, ensuring chart notes match services completed.
Build friendly relationships with patients and parents and educate them about good oral health.
Organize and sterilize dental instruments and workstations according to OSHA standards.
Keep the practice clean and presentable, including cleaning restrooms and the patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Perform other duties that support the business and the mission of providing high-quality, compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children.
