About The Position

Red Lion Dental is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant focused on hygiene support and sterilization. The role supports a solo-doctor, two-hygienist practice and helps keep patient visits and the workday organized and on schedule. The office describes itself as stable, calm, and highly organized, with a close-knit team and predictable hours. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 4 PM, with no Fridays, weekends, or nights. Compensation is $18–$21 per hour, based on experience. The practice provides scrubs, 401(k) eligibility with a match, online continuing education access through Spear Education, and dental benefits. Training on iTero scanning may be provided to the right candidate.

Requirements

Active Pennsylvania radiology certification required on the first day.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly organized environment.
Clear, friendly communication with patients and teammates.
Able to learn new technology and follow systems consistently.

Nice To Haves

Dental assisting experience; strong externs and new graduates will also be considered.
iTero or other digital scanning experience.

Responsibilities

Bring patients back and help them feel welcome.
Update patients’ medical histories and records in the practice software.
Take necessary X-rays according to office protocols.
Capture updated iTero scans to support patient education and treatment planning.
Complete a brief pre-clinical interview to provide the hygienist with patient context.
Take payment and review financial details with patients.
Schedule the next hygiene visit or follow-up appointments.
Break down and reset the operatory to office standards.
Maintain sterilization and instrument flow.
Monitor room turnover so providers stay on schedule.
Support the team with simple tasks that help the day run smoothly.
