About The Position

The Smilist is seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Hygiene Assistant to support its commitment to high-quality dental care and positive patient experiences. The role is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is full-time, Monday through Friday. The offered pay range is $22.00–$25.00 per hour. The Dental Hygiene Assistant helps patients feel comfortable during dental visits, prepares patients and treatment rooms, and assists doctors and hygienists with procedures. The position also supports infection control, sterilization, clinical organization, patient flow, and supply inventory. Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
Active Pennsylvania x-ray license.
Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, procedures, and infection control protocols.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused approach.
Ability to collaborate with doctors and other team members in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Positive attitude, dependability, and willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Nice To Haves

Dentrix experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Help patients feel comfortable and confident by addressing their concerns and reinforcing trust in their doctor or hygienist.
Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors and hygienists during dental procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment.
Escort patients to and from the front desk and help provide a smooth patient experience.
Prepare and organize instrument trays and treatment rooms for scheduled procedures.
Monitor operatory supplies, maintain inventory, and assist with ordering and restocking.
Follow infection control, sterilization, and office safety protocols.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
