About The Position

Dental One Associates is seeking a Dental Hygiene Assistant to join its clinical team in Springfield, Virginia. The assistant supports the office and professional dental staff in delivering patient care, with a focus on preventive oral health, patient comfort, and personalized treatment. Requirements

• Prior dental assisting experience is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Radiology certification is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, with a commitment to patient care and comfort.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or certification in Dental Assisting (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up treatment rooms, maintaining cleanliness and proper sterilization.
• Assist dental hygienists during patient treatment.
• Update patient health histories and chart treatment progress.
• Expose and develop radiographs.
• Educate patients about proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
• Support the hygienist with patient scheduling, treatment recommendations, and office recall systems.
• Perform routine tasks in compliance with industry regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
