About The Position

Dentistry By Design, a four-chair dental practice in Balmain and part of Bupa’s network of dental, optical and health insurance practices, is seeking two experienced Dental Assistant Receptionists. The practice provides cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign, implants and general dentistry. These are permanent part-time opportunities, with no weekend work. One position is 26.25 hours per week, working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. The other is 35.25 hours per week, working Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m., and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

The role supports a modern dental practice delivering a wide range of treatments. It combines reception and patient service with chairside dental assistance, treatment coordination, preparation of patients and facilities, instrument sterilisation, and infection-control responsibilities. The successful candidates will help maintain the practice’s customer and team culture and provide excellent service to patients.

Requirements

• Ideally, at least one year of experience working in Australia as a Dental Assistant.
• Be a motivated self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic role.
• Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be passionate about customer service and patient care.
• Be organised and attentive to detail.
• Be able to build rapport with patients in a cheerful, light-hearted manner.

Nice To Haves

• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting is highly regarded.
