About The Position

The Delivery Supervisor is responsible for supervising delivery drivers and evaluating distribution activities. The role directs, coordinates, and evaluates distribution activities for assigned drivers and routes, ensuring accurate deliveries and excellent customer service. It also oversees transport-vehicle planning and scheduling, driver performance, vehicle maintenance and safety, and inventory levels of full goods needed to meet daily sales requirements.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of management or supervisory experience.
• At least 3 years of delivery or distribution experience.
• Valid Class A CDL and driver's license.

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of delivery drivers.
• Direct, coordinate, and evaluate distribution activities for assigned drivers and routes.
• Ensure accurate deliveries and excellent customer service.
• Supervise planning and scheduling of company transport vehicles to maximize revenue-producing opportunities and minimize downtime and excessive overtime.
• Supervise driver performance and take appropriate disciplinary steps when necessary.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance and ensure related repairs and safety issues are addressed promptly.
• Ensure optimal inventory levels of full goods to fulfill daily sales needs.
