About The Position

The Delivery Services Manager schedules and routes product deliveries, coordinates fleet maintenance, keeps customers informed about delivery status, and ensures safety and compliance. ABC Supply Interiors is a specialty distributor of drywall, ceiling tiles, steel framing, and other building materials for commercial and residential contractors, combining the capabilities of a national distributor with the service of a locally owned business.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple service needs simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

• Previous dispatch experience is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and route product deliveries.
• Ensure trucks are not overloaded and loads remain within vehicle weight limits.
• Assess job site delivery requirements and assign appropriate delivery vehicles.
• Resolve vehicle safety issues by routing vehicles to appropriate service facilities for repairs.
• Keep customers informed of delivery status.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and federal road procedures.
• Participate in hiring drivers and material handlers and manage their performance.
• Coordinate fleet maintenance and ensure repairs are completed properly.
• Schedule equipment training for drivers and ensure they are certified to operate the equipment.
• Ensure drivers’ CDL licenses are current and inform them when licenses or medical cards need updating.
