About The Position

The Delivery Services Manager/Dispatch Coordinator schedules and routes product deliveries, coordinates fleet maintenance, keeps customers informed about delivery statuses, and ensures safety and compliance. The role also supports driver and material handler hiring and performance management, schedules equipment training, and monitors driver certification and license documentation.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple service needs simultaneously.

• Previous dispatch experience is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and route product deliveries.
• Ensure trucks are not overloaded and loads comply with standard weight limits for each vehicle.
• Assess job site delivery requirements and assign appropriate delivery vehicles.
• Resolve vehicle safety issues by routing vehicles to appropriate service facilities for repairs.
• Keep customers informed of delivery status.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and federal road procedures.
• Participate in hiring drivers and material handlers and in their performance management.
• Coordinate fleet maintenance and ensure repairs are completed properly.
• Schedule equipment training for drivers and ensure they are certified to operate the equipment.
• Ensure drivers’ CDL licenses are current and inform drivers when licenses or medical cards need updating.
