About The Position

The Surgical Technologist ensures that necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment are selected according to the physician's preference card. The role assists the surgeon during various procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, draping the patient, and maintaining sterile technique. The position also demonstrates timely procedure setup and case turnover within the appropriate time frame.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Completion of a Surgical Technology Program from an accredited school or program.
• NBSTSA certification.
• 2–4 years of experience in the Operating Room.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push instrument carts.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Certified Surgical Technologist certification/licensure required.
• Current BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Select instruments, supplies, and equipment according to the physician's preference card.
• Assist the surgeon during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and draping the patient.
• Maintain sterile technique.
