About The Position

The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to provide care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other healthcare providers. The RN is accountable for their professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law. Using organizational resources, the RN advocates for patients and the delivery of safe care, including delegating care and participating in performance and practice improvement activities. Nursing care at Kettering Health Network reflects the missions, vision, values, and philosophies of the organization and its nursing departments.

Requirements

• Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
• For new graduate nurses, graduate from an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; must be completed within five years of hire.
• A nurse returning to acute care after five or more years may be required to provide evidence of successful completion of a refresher course.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS, as determined by unit scope of practice.

Nice To Haves

• Previous labor and delivery experience strongly preferred.
• Current C-EFM preferred; required within two years or based on previous experience.
