Delivery Representative
About The Position
AmeriGas is hiring a safety-minded, customer-focused Delivery Representative to deliver propane to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. The role involves operating a propane delivery truck on assigned routes, filling bulk tanks, and delivering propane cylinders while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Representatives follow applicable federal and state codes and regulations, along with AmeriGas safety and operations policies and procedures, and consistently use required personal protective equipment. Depending on fluctuating business needs, shifts may last 8 to 12 hours. The position is home every day and offers a stated pay rate of $35.00.
Requirements
- Valid Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Willingness to submit to pre-employment drug screening and criminal background checks; if hired, subject to substance abuse testing under company policies.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a propane delivery truck along provided delivery routes.
- Fill residential and/or commercial bulk tanks with propane.
- Deliver propane cylinders to commercial and industrial customers.
- Perform daily functions safely by following federal and state codes and regulations and AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures.
- Consistently use required personal protective equipment.
