About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers orders by car to customers in the designated area and may also deliver flyers and door hangers. The role includes general store-team duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position requires customer and coworker communication, order entry, basic arithmetic and monetary-change skills, and the ability to navigate to delivery addresses, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings. The work involves standing, walking, sitting for paperwork, lifting and carrying supplies and orders, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs or ladders, bending, crouching, squatting, and frequent reaching. Team members may encounter changing or adverse weather, varying store temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Delivery work may involve driving and navigating five or more flights of stairs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Must have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
Ability to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to meet the physical demands described, including lifting and carrying supplies, climbing stairs, and driving.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area and carry orders to the customer's door.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Operate store equipment; stock ingredients; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete associated paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility.
Communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone to process orders.
Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
Navigate to addresses and negotiate delivery sites, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
Unload and stock product deliveries, including lifting cases weighing up to 50 pounds.
Perform other store tasks as needed, including moving trays and occasional maintenance or cleaning tasks.
