About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and may deliver flyers and door hangers. The role also performs general store team-member duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and potential advancement opportunities, including into management.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Must have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses in the designated delivery area.
• Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and stairs.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers by telephone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs, bending, crouching, reaching, and driving.
• Must be able to carry deliveries while walking and climbing, including navigating five or more flights of stairs when required.
• Must be able to unload and handle cases weighing up to 50 pounds and lift items to shelves as high as 72 inches.
• Ability to talk and hear on the telephone; near, mid-range, far, and night vision; depth perception; and ability to distinguish hot and cold surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and bring them to the customer's door.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Operate store equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders, including entering orders by computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Navigate delivery routes, addresses, adverse terrain, and multi-story buildings.
