About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and may deliver flyers and door hangers. The role also performs general store team-member duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including into management.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Must be able to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and stairs.
Ability to understand and provide correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers in person and by telephone.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
Ability to coordinate eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
Ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, and interact with people.
Ability to perform the listed physical activities, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, and reaching.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions and around food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
Ability to talk and hear on the telephone; use near, mid-range, far, and night vision; and perceive depth and distinguish hot from cold surfaces.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers and carry them to the customer's door.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Operate store equipment.
Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Prepare products.
Receive and process telephone orders, including entering orders by computer keyboard or touch screen.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Navigate to addresses in the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
Unload and move product deliveries, including using a hand truck and moving trays on dollies.
