About The Position
The Delivery Expert delivers products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and performs general store team-member duties. The role includes delivering flyers and door hangers, processing orders, preparing products, stocking ingredients, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including management and franchise ownership. Work involves driving and navigating delivery locations, including private homes, multi-story buildings, and stairs. Team members may also work in a range of in-store temperatures and conditions, including exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, moving mechanical parts, cramped spaces, and changing or adverse weather. Physical tasks include standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, climbing, bending, crouching, and reaching.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Must be able to read a map, locate addresses in the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately; ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to carry out physical tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, standing, and walking.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks, work independently and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, and make judgments and decisions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area and bring orders to the customer's door.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Operate store equipment and stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
- Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
- Navigate delivery locations, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and stairs.
- Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and move supplies to storage shelves.
