About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and may deliver flyers and door hangers. The role also performs general store-team duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position requires customer and coworker communication, accurate order entry and handling of money, navigation to delivery addresses, and the ability to work independently or with others under pressure. Work may involve adverse weather, changing temperatures, hot equipment, sharp edges, mechanical parts, food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped spaces. Physical tasks include standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs, bending, crouching, reaching, and driving.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Must be able to read maps, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and over the phone.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and use a calculator if needed.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements with the eyes, hands, and fingers.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds and climbing stairs during deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Operate store equipment.
