About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers products by car to customers within a designated delivery area, taking orders and performing general store team-member duties as needed. The role offers a flexible schedule, on-the-job orientation and training, and opportunities for advancement into management and other roles. Delivery personnel may also deliver flyers and door hangers. Team members operate equipment; stock ingredients; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility. The work involves communicating with customers and coworkers, entering orders by computer keyboard or touch screen, handling money, and navigating delivery locations, including multi-story buildings and adverse terrain. The position involves standing and walking for much of the work, as well as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, and reaching. Work conditions may include changing or adverse weather, varying in-store temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
Ability to understand and give correct written instructions.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, with a calculator if needed, and make correct monetary change.
Motor coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to meet the physical demands described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, and reaching.
On-the-job orientation and training are provided.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers within a designated delivery area and carry them to the customer's door.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Operate store equipment and prepare products.
Stock ingredients and supplies from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers.
Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Navigate delivery areas, addresses, adverse terrain, and multi-story buildings.
