About The Position
Domino’s Pizza is hiring a Delivery Expert to deliver orders within a designated area and perform general store team member duties. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for career advancement, including management. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position includes delivering products by car to customers’ doors and distributing flyers and door hangers. Team members also operate equipment, stock ingredients and supplies, prepare products, receive and process telephone orders, take inventory, complete paperwork, and clean equipment and the facility. Work involves customer and coworker communication, order entry, driving and navigation, and physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, and reaching. The work environment includes varying temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, mechanical parts, cramped spaces, and sometimes adverse weather.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Must have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers, by telephone and in person.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
- Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.
- Ability to perform the described physical duties, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping, crouching, and reaching.
- Ability to carry product during delivery and travel between the store, vehicle, and customer locations.
- Ability to sense and distinguish hot and cold surfaces and use near-, mid-, far-, and night vision as needed.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Operate store equipment.
- Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
- Prepare products.
- Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers in person.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
- Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
- Navigate delivery routes, customer locations, adverse terrain, and stairs as needed.
- Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and move supplies to storage.
- Perform other store team member duties, including stocking, cleaning, and occasional maintenance tasks.
