About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers products to customers within a designated delivery area and performs general store team-member duties. The position involves operating store equipment; stocking ingredients; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone orders; taking inventory and completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. Delivery duties include driving products to customers, bringing them to the customer's door, and delivering flyers and door hangers. The work involves standing, walking, occasional sitting, lifting and carrying supplies and products, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs, and reaching, bending, or crouching. Work conditions may include adverse weather, temperature changes, hot surfaces, sharp edges, food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped spaces.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Must be able to read a map, locate addresses within the delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including lifting cases weighing up to 50 pounds, carrying products, pushing or pulling trays, and climbing stairs when delivering.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car within the designated delivery area and carry them to customers' doors.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Operate store equipment and prepare products.
• Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers and co-workers in person and by phone.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Unload and move bulk product deliveries using a hand truck; stock and move supplies and trays.
• Navigate delivery routes, addresses, and delivery sites, including multi-story buildings and stairs.
