About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers customer orders by car within a designated delivery area and to customers’ doors. The position also performs general store team-member duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. The role requires customer and coworker communication, accurate order entry and cash handling, and the ability to navigate delivery locations and challenging terrain. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and potential advancement opportunities, including management.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Ability to read maps, locate addresses in the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Motor coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately.
Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs, bending, crouching, and reaching.
Ability to work around varying temperatures and weather, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
Ability to talk and hear on the telephone, use near, mid-range, far, and night vision as needed, perceive depth, and distinguish hot from cold surfaces.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area; make multiple deliveries per shift as needed.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Operate store equipment and stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Use maps and navigational skills to locate addresses and navigate delivery sites, including multi-story buildings and stairs.
Unload ingredient and supply deliveries using a hand truck and move, carry, push, or pull products and trays as needed.
