About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers pizzas within a designated area and provides customer service while driving and during in-store interactions. Drivers receive training to handle deliveries and assist with in-store tasks, including preparing pizzas and supporting store operations. The position may offer opportunities to advance from delivery work into management and franchise ownership.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle for deliveries, and proof of car insurance.
• Safe driving record that meets company standards.
• Navigational skills to read maps, locate addresses in the delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to understand and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers in person and over the phone.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination and hand-eye coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately.
• Ability to work independently and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to lift and handle deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds, carry items, push or pull trays, climb stairs, and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and hand tasks.
• Ability to work in varying and sometimes adverse weather, temperature changes, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pizzas within the designated delivery area and serve customers.
• Operate store equipment and stock ingredients from the delivery area into storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete related paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders and handle payments accurately.
• Assist with in-store tasks when not making deliveries.
• Carry out outside tasks such as couponing when needed.
