About The Position

The Delivery Driver helps the store deliver pizzas to customers as quickly and safely as possible while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a motivated, service-oriented team member who can handle changing business demands and work independently or with others. Daytime and evening shifts are available, with flexible scheduling ranging from one shift per week to five or six shifts per week.

The role also performs general store-team duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking and processing orders, completing paperwork, and cleaning and maintaining the store. On-the-job orientation and training are provided, focusing on order taking, labeling boxes, safe delivery, and avoiding road hazards and distractions. The job involves working in varied indoor and outdoor conditions and performing physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, bending, reaching, and occasionally climbing.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a reliable vehicle, proof of insurance, a valid driver's license, and a safe driving record.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, with a calculator if needed, and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
• Motor coordination and eye-hand coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to read maps and navigate to locations.
• Ability to stand, walk, jog or run short distances, sit for paperwork, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push trays on dollies, and perform bending, crouching, reaching, and occasional climbing.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work adequately under stress, direct activities, make judgments and decisions, analyze and compile data, and satisfy unhappy customers.
• Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces and meet the role's vision, hearing, and depth-perception needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to designated locations using a personal vehicle.
• Read maps, navigate to destinations, and locate addresses, including across adverse terrain.
• Operate store equipment and maintain store equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders, including communicating with customers and co-workers in person and by phone.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility daily.
• Unload and handle bulk product deliveries using a hand truck, including carrying and shelving supplies.
• Meet quality-control standards and help resolve customer dissatisfaction.
