Delivery Driver (Professional In-home) / Warehouse Associate
About The Position
As a Delivery Driver with Room & Board, you create extraordinary customer experiences and serve as a brand ambassador for the company’s products and reputation. You’ll work as part of a three-person delivery team, rotating between local deliveries and warehouse responsibilities. On delivery days, you’ll alternate between driving and assisting while delivering home furnishings throughout the Los Angeles metro and Orange County areas. The role also includes preparing products in the merchandise quality area about one month every two months, as well as product staging, assembly, and quality inspections. The schedule rotates by assignment: delivery work is Tuesday through Saturday, 5:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.; warehouse and merchandise quality work is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Paid overtime is available. Schedules are prepared for a full month and released one month in advance. The position is based at 1390 Storm Parkway, Torrance, California.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to drive a 24-foot box truck; training is provided.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items with a team member and/or proper lifting equipment.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Ability to pass pre-employment requirements, including a 5-panel drug screen that does not test for THC.
- Ability to provide proof of identity and legal work authorization upon hire.
- A genuine passion for serving customers, demonstrated through prior customer-facing delivery or customer service experience, is highly valued and preferred.
