About The Position

The Delivery Driver performs a range of duties involving equipment operation, ingredient stocking and rotation, product preparation, order processing, inventory counting, paperwork, and cleaning. The role includes on-the-job training through customer service orientation, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice. Drivers use their own vehicles to deliver orders and interact with customers and coworkers in person and over the phone.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with customers and coworkers over the phone and in person.
• Ability to safely drive a personal vehicle.
• Ability to navigate roads and maps and traverse adverse terrain and stairs at delivery sites while carrying products.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately to make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, push, climb ladders and stairs, stoop, bend, crouch, squat, reach, and grasp.
• Ability to tolerate varying temperatures and conditions indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment.
• Stock and rotate ingredients from delivery to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone and internet orders.
• Count inventory and complete paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility.
• Safely drive a personal vehicle, navigate roads and maps, and travel over adverse terrain and stairs at delivery sites while carrying products.
• Communicate with customers and coworkers verbally and in writing, by phone and in person.
• Calculate monetary change accurately using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; a calculator may be used.

Benefits

• Hourly wages, with total average earnings of $14–$18 per hour including cash tips.
