About The Position
The Delivery Driver performs general restaurant duties, including operating equipment; stocking and rotating ingredients from delivery to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone and internet orders; counting inventory; completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. Training includes customer-service orientation, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice. The role requires communicating with customers and coworkers by phone and in person, safely driving the employee’s own vehicle, navigating roads and maps, and carrying products across varied terrain and stairs at delivery sites. The employee must be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately to provide correct monetary change, with a calculator available if needed.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and communicate verbally and in writing with customers and coworkers, over the phone and in person.
- Ability to safely drive own vehicle and navigate roads and maps.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain and stairs at delivery sites while carrying products.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately to make correct monetary change.
