Delivery Driver-CDL-Hourly- BOOM OPERATOR
About The Position
The Delivery Driver safely and efficiently operates a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies and federal and state regulations, delivering freight undamaged. The role works as part of a team to deliver, load, and unload building materials while providing excellent customer service. The driver may operate a flatbed or boom truck and deliver materials to commercial and residential job sites, placing them in areas directed by customers while prioritizing safety. Work is performed primarily outdoors at active construction and customer sites in varying weather conditions. The job involves handling heavy and bulky building materials, operating delivery vehicles and material-handling equipment as applicable, and following safety procedures and wearing required PPE. Early starts, overtime, and schedule flexibility may be needed to meet customer and operational demands.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL), at minimum Class B.
- Clear three-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds, with assistance or mechanical equipment as needed.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information with management and coworkers.
- Ability to judge distance while delivering materials and operating a boom.
- Must adhere to safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities
- Inspect trucks and trailers for defects to ensure safe operation.
- Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom trucks and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
- Deliver materials to the customer-directed area while prioritizing personal and public safety.
- Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Report all accidents involving the driver or company equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams.
