About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates equipment and performs tasks including stocking and rotating ingredients from delivery to storage areas or walk-in coolers, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone and internet orders, counting inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job training includes customer service orientation, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice. The role requires safely driving the employee’s own vehicle and navigating roads, maps, and delivery-site terrain, including stairs, while carrying products. The employee must be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately to make monetary change, with a calculator permitted.
Requirements
- Ability to safely drive own vehicle.
- Ability to navigate roads, maps, and adverse terrain or stairs at delivery sites while carrying products.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately to make monetary change; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, push, climb ladders and stairs, stoop or bend, crouch or squat, reach, and grasp with hands to use machines, tools, equipment, and work aids.
- Ability to tolerate varying temperatures and conditions inside and outside.
