About The Position

The Delivery Driver, also referred to as a Delivery Expert, greets walk-in customers, takes delivery and carryout orders by phone, cleans, and makes deliveries. The role requires friendly, punctual, hardworking team members who can multitask. Drivers run, jog, or speed-walk to and from their cars on deliveries. Orientation and on-the-job training are provided, including making deliveries with the store’s Certified Delivery Trainer.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid auto insurance.
• A working vehicle.
• Good driving record.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers in person and by phone, with a clear and upbeat speaking voice.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain and delivery sites while carrying product.
• Hardworking, personable, friendly, punctual, dependable, reliable, responsible, outgoing, energetic, able to multitask, and quick to learn and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Greet walk-in customers.
• Take delivery and carryout orders over the phone and in person using the touchscreen computer system.
• Clean.
• Make deliveries and run, jog, or speed-walk to and from the car.
• Communicate clearly and pleasantly with customers and co-workers.
• Process orders and make correct monetary change.
• Navigate to delivery addresses and delivery sites, including adverse terrain, multi-story buildings, and private homes while carrying product.
