Delivery Driver (New Harrisburg Location!)
About The Position
Domino’s is hiring delivery drivers to staff stores in the Harrisburg area. The role offers a flexible schedule and may suit someone seeking a main job, a supplemental job, or work alongside school or other activities. Opportunities to grow within the company, including potentially moving into management, are available. Drivers deliver orders within a designated area and also perform general store-team duties. These include operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, and cleaning equipment and the facility. The role requires customer and coworker communication, accurate order entry, basic arithmetic and money handling, and the ability to navigate to delivery addresses, including through adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Must have a reliable vehicle that meets company standards and access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.
- Must have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to perform the physical activities described, including bending, occasional crouching or squatting, continuous reaching, and frequent hand use.
Responsibilities
- Deliver orders within the designated delivery area.
- Operate store equipment.
- Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
- Prepare products.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
- Communicate with customers and coworkers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Handle money and make correct change.
