About The Position
Cavalier Distributing Company is seeking a professional Delivery Driver to deliver craft beer, wine, and other beverage products to bars, restaurants, and retail accounts using a box truck. The driver represents the company through safe, courteous service and customer interactions. Compensation is $22.50–$24.50 per hour, based on experience. The posting describes a three-day workweek in the title and a four-day workweek in the description; the schedule is therefore inconsistent. The fleet includes new trucks equipped with liftgates and telematics. Full-time benefits include PTO accruing from the start date, with additional benefits available after 60 days; 401(k) eligibility begins the first quarter following the employee’s 90th day.
Requirements
- Valid, unexpired driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Thorough understanding of traffic laws and commitment to defensive driving.
- Excellent communication skills and customer-service orientation.
- Basic numerical skills for order and delivery paperwork.
- Willingness to take and pass a pre-employment drug test.
Responsibilities
- Operate vehicles safely and comply with DOT safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Load, unload, and maneuver beverage products, generally weighing between 30 and 165 pounds.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report safety issues.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and handle cash management duties with integrity.
- Provide exceptional customer service to delivery accounts.
